part 2 In addition, however or whenever the child was conceived, it undercuts and ruins the Final Lair of the stage musical (and it is a sequel to the stage musical) because the pathos of that scene was that the Phantom had never been touched willingly by a woman and had been "denied the joys of the flesh" because of his face.
They should have left this kind of stories to fan writers---who, I'm sure, would have done a better job.

Trust me, no you don't. The book is so bad that i wanted to burn it. It is the most screwed up piece of literature I have ever read. Do NOT read it!!!

The show has folded in London and is not "triumphing" in Australia. Who cares. It was a bad idea from the beginning and will never be anything like a hit. Good music isn't enough to save a musical if the story and characterizations aren't good.

@Mndjj a lot has happened in the two years since I wrote the comment, but nothing has changed my mind that a sequel to POTO was a very bad idea. We now "know" that according to the story of LND that she looked up the Phantom and they had a hot night just before her marriage to Raoul. Then he left (why? she had told him his face didn't bother her and kissed him twice). She passes her child off as Raoul's, the marriage isn't good. Then they go through the whold which one does she chose AGAIN.

@Bric Maybe their night was after she and raul left :-) Raul and christine weren't married then.. and the night of christine and phantom was just before the wedding.

@Bric Maybe their love night was after she raul with left. In the movie Raul en Christine weren't married then, that happened after that. And the night of christine and phantom was just before the wedding :-)

@Dragonrat117 The forgein one is "Time to say Goodbye", it's all over Youtube :)

Chirst, I'd rather they make a movie of Susan Kay's "Phantom" than a sequel to POTO.
-
I hope the sequel explains how Christine and Erik had a son together...cause the first book never mentions them being intimate, plus in the movie (the Andrew Lloyd Webber version) the phantom says he has been denied the( pleasures of the flesh) sooo how did they have a child??

is a great book. you might like it^^ and... the phantom+christine shared several hours on their own. and as you've seen in the film with gerard butler, christine kissed erik voluntarily. (sorry for my english, but it's not my mother tongue^^)

@AerithGainsborough11 Heya. I've read the book several times. At the book there is Erik in America. Very rich, but because of his face he can't make his business. Therefore he got 'Darius' (but I think, that might be to complex for the musical) Erik builds an opera house, asks for Christine as the lead singer and finally there is a scene, he meeting son and chr. --> darius wants to kill the son, because he might get the money of erik... darius is jealous. christine must die instead of the
son..
