PBS special called Jazz Legends Then and Now. Here's a segment featuring Randy Caputo with his tribute to the Legendary Drummer Gene Krupa. At time clock 3:02, Mr. Caputo plays a very musical drum solo with plenty of showmanship. Absolutely Amazing!

  • I agree. Caputo is light-years beyond this band.

  • MONSTERS INC xD

  • and he's a super nice guy to boot!

  • Benny would have walked away from these bums

  • Nice impersonation of Gene Krupa and can really play well. But he looks like a young AL DELVECHEO from HAPPY DAYS.

  • I first heard about Mr. Caputo through Bruce Klauber and his Jazz Legends website and I thought that he was amazing. Then I saw him at FitzGerald's Nightclub in Chicago and I was blown away. Real Blown Away!!! Im not sure just what he was doing in the middle of his solo (time 3:38- 3:51) but those are the smoothest triplets that Ive ever heard.

    AgainAMAZING!!!

    Thanks for your post

  • BG also would have been playing seven nights a week.

  • BG would've rehearsed these guys further...

  • This is Mr.Caputo doing his best, hey what a great band, and Caputo is so good.

  • One of the big band classics! And a hoot to play!
