Don't even worry about people talking s--t. Snowboarding is supposed to be about having fun, riding with friends, etc, not being better than someone you don't even know. If someone hates on you for not riding like them, they have serious self confidence issues. Progress at your own pace, push yourself always but don't let others talk you into stuff you can't do. Been riding at BM/BW for over 17 years, those with the negative attitudes don't last very long.
