Damn, listening to this is a revelation. To say they sounded tight is a gross understatement! God Bless Jerry Miller. Absolutely remarkable performance.

Moby Grape still sounds great after all these years -I highly reccomend a tour

This is excellent. How did I miss this? Probably because the Dirty Dog is a Sixth Street dive Sports bar that I would never go to unless Jerry Miller was there playing his guitar and nobody told me. Come back this year and tell me.

Holy cow. This is really good. The sound quality, harmony's, and tightness are awesome. I heard an radio interview with Bob Mosley today and prompted me to Youtube some MG stuff up. Miller still shreds. Anybody know who the other musicians are? Bass is big and tight.

43 years later and they still sound remarkable. We can only hope that someday, someway these guys will finally get their due. Absolutely un-freakin'-believable performance!

First album one of the Top 10, maybe even top 5. They werer mismanaged....................
they could have beenone of all time greats. Maybe the best for them that they werent't. Those that saw them..........all greats! -
@peterzang : Yeah, their first album was unbelievable. Moby Grape 69 is one of my favorite albums. Now, I have their albums on my ipod. They were great live as their live recordings prove. They were tighter than a high wire.

@pmoyer50 I've never known an attorney to 'fuck' a band to such a degree. It's beyond all imagining. Great band. Best PeterZ

@peterzang : Ah, Murder in my Heart for the Judge.
-
@SeattleLA : They smoked Jefferson Airplane.

Wonderful.
Jerry and Don live here, in or near Seattle. The first album, "Moby Grape", is one of the finest in all rock history. every song is great. A great SF sound, second only to the Airplane, in my opinion.
Oh, and Katz? This one's for you!!!
Jerry is a savage...still!!! Love getting on stage with this man. Thank you all for the compliments, it's truly an honor!

JohnO020651...good question
Peter encouraged the band to do something at SXSW, ended up we got scheduled the same night as Peter w/ the explosives. Peter was so missed that night, he would have obviously made us sound better, but he fulfilled his commitment with the other band as we played only two hours after his gig. Neither of us could do both. It's that simple...anything else is BS.
The videos are compliment of Tony Hall...a bro who has blessed everything MG for the last decade! love u Tone
