When nature needs a genius it creates one. No-one has ever sung this song like this. The incredible technical phrasing, the soulfulness, the investment of pure emotion in every word and note. It summarizes human hope and sorrow so powerfully. And it is seldom mentioned that she played the hell out of that guitar with fine arrangements. She was a gem in a five and dime store.
