The Finale of the Grand Eaux Musicales at Versailles

Every Saturday & Sunday all the fountains at the palace of Versailles are turned on in sequence, finishing with the display at the Basin de Neptune, the finest of the fountains at the palace.
It doesn't take much imagination to put yourself in the priveledged position of the Kings & Queens of pre revolution France, and picture yourself promenading through the fabulous gardens,designed by a landscaping genius called Andre le Notre with all your courtiers in attendance. Splendour beyond belief. " let them eat cake " Maire Antoinette said, when put in the context of these surroundings,somehow it doesn't seem to be such a preposterous statement. A beautiful place, full of history.
