Formula:
BMR for males = 66 + (13.7 x w) + (5 x h) - (6.8 x y)
BMR for females = 655 + (9.6 x w) + (1.8 x h) - (4.7 x y)
where:
h = height in centimeters (inches x 2.54)
w = weight in kilograms (pounds ÷ 2.2)
y = age in years
Why should you care? Because everyone's metabolism sucks. Seriously. From crash dieting, to not eating right, to being lazy, everyone needs a faster metabolism. By boosting your metabolism, you burn more calories and will lose more weight and be sexier. And everyone wants that. A slower metabolism can be caused by several things:
1. Eating too few calories
2. Dieting too long

I'm 152lbs and lets say I've been eating around 1700cals a day and my weight loss stalled. Should I lower more calories or do cardio or what?

I just found your videos today and I love how much fun you are to watch and listen to (not in the bad way) :) I was told that I don't eat enough calories the food I eat actually is staying on me rather than losing it. I tried to eat until I was satisfied but somehow I got myself down to 1200-1300 calories a day. I know each person is a little bit diff. but what is a good rule of thumb for amount of calories to keep metab. up but still lose weight? I feel like it's a really fine line...

@aliskey62389 Hmm this deserves another video. EVERYONE is different. I assume with those numbers you are a woman. Its not numbers only but also quality. A great starting point is 1500, 40% protein, 40% fat 20% carbs as a general rule. And emphasize activity. Don't judge appetite by hunger, you need to always fuel that body!
