"Sadly - of course - the distance of history will recognize that the threat this generation of Americans needed to take seriously... was you. [George W Bush]

We have a long and painful history of ignoring the prophecy attributed to Benjamin Franklin that "those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.""

  • thats very true

  • The fact that Bush is still president and not impeached proves that the real powers behind our gov is very much in control. Scary.

  • I would be impressed if he ridicules the Democrats for their mistakes if they ever get back into power--that would make him critical, which is good!

  • Keith Olbermann rocks

  • The dilution of habeas corpus really does upset me. We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home.

  • Olbermann FTW.

  • one of his best comments. Olbermann on fire.

  • Wonderful quote from Benjamin Franklin.
