See now I really don't understand it when people say there's no difference to the gay community of it's passed. Irony know about anyone else but if I was gay would want the right to marry. That's a right that is taking away so yes, it does make a difference

Your heterosexual mairage is infringing on my rights. You being happy with someone you love is so offensive. I don't want my children to know about it. It's only fair that we vote to keep heterosexuals from marrying. Think of the children. They could be exposed to the idea that people who love each other should have the right to marry! Two people of the OPPOSITE SEX! Isn't that horrid? What would I do? I'd have to TALK to my KIDS!

When you say that you dont want your children to be taught that gay or lesbian marriage is ok. Think about this, the gay parents or gay children are being taught that it is not natural to be gay or that gay marriage is un-holy. The gay parents probably do not want their children being taught that. Throughout all of elementary school i have never been taught anything about marriage and even if i was taught that you should marry straight or shouldnt marry gay that would never effect my opinion

hello, sir. I, am a Canadian. we have had gay marriage legalized here for quite some time, now. even here, talking about marriage between same-sex couples is still VERY taboo. I've only had a few high school teachers talk about it, no elementary. and at that point, kids can make up their own minds.
seeing my gay friend bullied through elementary, I always wished they'd talk.
do you think we should stop educating kids about racism because a few rednecks want to teach otherwise to their children?

@retrorio : One thing I can always count on is members of the gay and lesbian community exhibiting intense hatred, which is always expressed with the most vulgar commentary possible. Those who supported Prop 8 are labeled as hateful, but faithful Mormons hate no one.... you declare your struggle is about wanting to marry who you love... yet your hearts are filled with hate for anyone who doesn't agree with you.. how can such opposite emotions exist so passionately in the same heart...?
