@singhakabuttar This is some of the history you haven't been exposed to,ur martial arts were originally named montu by the ancient Kemetians now called Egyptians,they were the first to develope this training style which later was introduced to the asians and they just perfected it.Check out my page or Kemetnu page and look for the vid that addresses this subject!

@Linux4UnMe also mma use kettlebells to train, more recently clubells, do you have any idea how traditional these tools are, clubells were and still are used in india today, okinawa have similar stone lever weights, the same with kettlebells, all these ideas and training methods are all just coming back into play, alot of martial arts have lost base with there roots, but the original training methods still exist, dont look at the differences, look for the similarities, theyve always been there.

@Linux4UnMe tma vs mma is a stupid topic, firstly mma is all traditional, boxing, wrestling, muay thai, they are as traditional as they get, muay thai is over 3000 years old, boxing is ancient, wrestling is the oldest sport in the world, if that aint traditional enough for you then i dont know what is!!! i can tell you for a fact every martial art works, if you have the right instructor/sensei/coach, mma is a great sport, then you have the martial side, theres no reason why you cant train both.

The topic "was" about traditional martial arts vs mma vs street" Ofcoarse it is a different ball game if somebody has a friggin gun pointed at you... That doesn't change any of my points... I have never stated anybody should go around with an attitude looking for trouble... ofcoarse that will get you killed mate. You are blowing the Topic out of proportion with what if this? what if that......
