How to make an Easy, Cheap and EFFECTIVE 5-Hour ENERGY DRINK for Pennies per serving. An ALTERNATE option to crushing up the tablets is to do this: Chew a small handful of cranberries then throw two B-Complex and one high dose B12 (1000mcg) into the mouth and chew it all up. Cranberries kill the tartness of the B vitamins and make it palatable. Chewing it up gets the time released dose into the body quick for a 5 hour boost for pennies. So save your money and buy bulk!

  • Dude you need citicoline, n-acetyl l-tyrosine, taurine, phenalyline, etc... plus that must taste bad

  • @leya55 Yeah, I think I can leave those out and it'll work just fine. Though the Citicoline is intriguing. And to be honest, I got used to the taste. In face I don't even bother crushign them up anymore. I actually chew them up with either cranberries or some raw kale. But that's me.

  • Sorry but the juice you use has sugar and most people now don't want sugar in their energy drink. Sorbate is a better sweetener. Doesn't matter what you have in your diet it is what is in the drink to get the energy quick. You also forgot Taurine, and L-Phenyalanine. Instead of using coffee crush no doze. Your way is really no different then just drinking coffee with a couple D vitamins.

  • @azguy35 100% fruit juice contains the simple sugar fructose. Same thing as eating fruit. Potassium sorbate is a chemical preservative. I can do without the taurine, look it up, I'm not even sure why they put it in energy drinks. Phenylalanine (L) is an essential amino acid, of which I get plenty. Its role in energy drinks is as an artificial sweetener, same as aspartame. Look up what excess Phenylalanine (L) does to your health. No doze cost too much. D vitamins???

  • Okay this guys should actually look at the back of a 5 hour energy drink. Why are you using a bottom of a screw driver? That is gross. You are missing Naicin, Folic Acid, and this is 1 full cup of coffee. Also you poured in a sugar fruit drink. 5 hour energy has no sugar and that is why you don't crash. I would use black coffee, Stevia for sweetness, niacin, Folic Acid, and B powder.

  • @azguy35 While your at it, research the mitochondria. This so called "energy drink" whether you're talking 5-hour or some version of a B-complex infusion is nothing more than supplementation for what the common diet lacks. So cut to the chase and remove the crap out of your diet and save some money by making your own. Do your own thing.  Make a video, post your own ideas. People are always looking for a quick fix and have no idea why it works.

  • @MrBlishkabarben Mountain Dew has no B vitamins whatsoever let alone any nutritional value period. Maybe if you put down the Dew and drank something healthy, you'd be able to see what this video and its comments are all about.

  • You should try adding prolab caffeine pills. About 5$ for 100 200mg tablets, and easy to make into a powder

  • This is for sure a cheap alt. to 5-hourse, however b complex just isn't enough. You also need a B12 and B6 tab in the mix. These are the most important in the energy provided by assisting protein synthesis.

  • @azguy35 Niacin and Folic acid are B Vitamins, so they are in the complex that he's using.
