Spotted this Diamond DA 42 TwinStar after it had landed at YGEL and was taxi-ing to the parking area. This aircraft is owned and operated by Fugro Airborne Surveys Pty Ltd.

@DounutCereal - no such thing as a silly question Brendan - the probe sticking out the front (in particular the red bulb on the end) houses remote sensors for gathering electromagnetic, magnetic, radiometric and gravity data. The remote sensing capabilities are critical to the subsurface exploration needs of the mining, oil & gas, engineering and environmental industries.
@DounutCereal - the expensive stuff is contained within the aircraft, the bulb only has the sensors :)
