  • The last thing I said to him was when I asked him to sign my copy of Aliens: "It would be an honor if the king could sign for the queen". He saw the alien queen and just burst into laughter. I think about that and start to cry because he made me feel like a friend and not just a fan. RIP Stan.

  • Thank you for posting this video. Not much to say because everyone has pretty much said what I was going to say. Rest in Peace, Stan Winston. Your work will never be forgotten.

  • I wish i could meet him in person... but i was never able to do that. :'(

He was a genious and he'll be missed. The movie business will never be the same without him.

    Rest in peace, Stan.

  • My one and only time seeing Stan in person was when he was in Chicago for their Comic-con sometime ago. I attended his Q&A panel, and 10 minutes before it began, he snuck into the front row sat down next to a family and asked the guy next to him, 'Who are we waiting for?'

Later on, Stan was kind enough to personalize my DVD cover of A.I., and even signed my A.I. poster (I still think he did great physical FX work on that film).

  • Luis you were wrong! lol

    Good video guys.

    RIP Stan Winston
