Not much different that what the US did in Iraq, paying Sunni groups to not attack them...er...excuse me, to accept freedom.
Maybe the US should also get in on this, pay a few billion dollars to get ALL the Taliban to not attack, the after a few months declare victory and leave?

Italy was paying off the Taliban (they admit it) to not attack the region they were in charge of. Then France took over that region, and didn't know the Taliban was being paid off. The payments to the Taliban stopped since the Italians left, so the Taliban attacked the new French soldiers, killing 10 of them.

They should pay in USdollars, will be worth as much as toilet paper when the wars over. Gov priorities are ass backwards.. What can I do? Call my rep? How long has this been going on? It's just disheartening to think I'll never see peace in the world, it's all I wanted as a kid.
