  • It's official. Whenever I hear this song I'm going to imagine Zombie Nazis dancing to this.

  • Mr. Waits is a lot like a fine bottle of Scotch- definitely an acquired taste, highly intoxicating, and potentially hazardous to your health.

  • @pacali ....you are right, he means komme nicht zu spät...because he adds before "sei pünktlich..."

"sei pünktlich, komme nicht zu spät" translated it means:

    =

    be punctually, don't be late

but most of it is nonsense and not even german i guess he makes fun of'em ;)

yeah i do know german... ;) ..if any doubts......i happen to live in a country since i was born where german is one of the main languages^^

  • @Csp499 ...but in a good way ;)

  • @GhettoWerewolf That works just as well XD

  • @MadaraXIII That's funny, because when I hear this, I think of a group of mental patients in a psychiatric ward dancing like they're in a Michael Jackson video.

  • One of my favorites by Tom Waits.

  • <3

  • @zott345 that is true, but I think Tom Waits is trying to say "Komme nicht zu spät", which means do not come too late. Most English/Americans have trouble pronouncing the German "ch"

I assume he does, because he also has trouble with the "ü" in pünktlich.

Awesome song, can't picture any nazis though.

  • and we can't be late
