Let's see: We have been at war in Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan. A great portion of our domestic economic engine runs on war and the proliferation of war. Therefore, I don't see the US as afraid of conflict. As for Iran: It was our own CIA that cooperated with British forces to topple a duly elected Iraqi president in 1951. That is the original reason why Iran is an enemy of the US today. Our invasion of Iraq, and our occupation of their holy land, Saudi Arabia, exacerbates the conflict.

Yes it has occurred that agitation is problematic but that not the case with Iran. Iran sign a nuclear proliferation bill with the UN that they don't intend to abide by.So what should the rest of the world now just sit back and let them have their way and then worry and wonder what are they going to do when they acquire weapon grade uranium. the problem with American is that they are to afraid of conflict and they are willing to bend over backward to avoid (home of the brave? i hope that's true

Its comments like these that's makes me wonder do people keep up with current events we have tried diplomacy with Iran and all they have done is take the time to further their nuclear ambitions plus Iran enrichment of uranium has been toward weapon grade from day one that why the stop allowing u.n. inspections.

also Israel is the only country in the middle east that is not run by dictatorship gov. who play pass the power to their offspring. you think Iran is all wrong Russia ,china and Syria too

Jews fled Europe before WW2 by ship and many were turned away. Even America said no. No one wanted them before OR after. So what did they do? They went to their ancestral homeland.

American troops are stationed in Saudi Arabia. Muslims HATE infidels in the Middle East. The problem again is the Muslims and their intolerance.

When Arabic countries are denying access to people just because their passport shows they had been to Israel, again we know who the problem is.

i'll agree with you there,,i see whats happening over in Europe and then they want shariah law instead of the laws of the country they occupy,,and Muslims having a nuclear weapon is nuts,,their ideology is nuts,

maybe if they stay in the middle east we could co-exist,but then the Jews would just drag us into the conflict because they choose to live in the Muslim infested middle east, and we know Jews played a huge role in 9/11 so are they any safer to live with?,think Lenin,Trotsky and Stalin..

Sorry. But with the Muslims, doing nothing is a sign of weakness and they will attack anyway to establish a global Caliphate. If you DO resist in any way, you have insulted them and still will attack.

Search for "no go neighborhoods" in Europe. Once they get enough people in a foreign country, they start throwing their weight around and insisting that their way is the dominant way.

hmmm here's an idea DONT FUCK WITH IRAN then we wont have to worry about such an attack!

but nooooo we have to risk everything so Israel will be the super power of the middle east..

so in order to prevent WW3 we have to start WW3?....

fucking Israel is going to get us all killed plus get themselves eliminated off the map..

Has it occurred to anyone that the best way to avoid an EMP attack from Iran might start with a commitment to stop agitating Iran? The principle of mutual assured destruction maintained a balance of power and prevented nuclear conflcit between the US and Russia and the entire rest of the planet for 60 years. Is there any reason to think that the Iranians would provoke nuclear confrontation where China, Russia, India, and Pakistan have not?

I'm not worried about the EMP, I can survive that. I'm worried about who might invade us afterwards.
