BNS (bulgarian national alliance [or national-socialists) is a big neo-nazi group that operates in Bulgaria. They seem to be somewhat influential as their leader, Boyan Rasate, hosts his own tv show and is a frequent guest in many talk-shows.

This video aims at disclosing their nazi credentials which is a difficult task given the fascist and far-right extremist-friendly environment post-socialist resolutely anti-leftist and nationalist Bulgarian society finds itself in.

In the video, you can observe a very awkward situation during live broadcast - Rasate's handy rings and the melody is no other than Third Reich's anthem (Horst Wessel)! After that there are some very revealing pictures which break down the "purely Bulgarian patriotic" mask of BNS and make explicit their fundamental loyalty to nazi political ideology and practice. For example, at one point a march is shown wherein the neo-nazis shout "Bulgaria, wake up" which is a slogan they copied from the German nazis. In fact, BNS does that a lot - they copy rhetoric (such as "autonomous, social, national"), outfit (black casual style hoodies, Fred Perry and Lonsdale clothes), slogans, symbols and so on and so on from the biggest German neo-nazi group active nowadays called "Autonomous nationalists."

BNS organizes annual torch-marches (in a fascist fashion) in order to commemorate the death of their parton-saint Hristo Lukov. Lukov was close to Adolf Hitler in WWII and his paramilitary organization, Bulgarian National Legions, was the biggest openly pro-Hitler and pro-nazi group in Bulgaria. Lukov was assassinated by Violeta Yakova - a Jewish communist woman who was later murdered by fascists seeking revenge for their leader Lukov.
