Prototype - Kill Event 06: Raining Fire *Platinum Medal*

[Helicopter Upgrades: MAX]

This Kill event has you going after the military again. All military kills count towards your goal even though those floating detectors are the main focus of this event. So you have a few possible options on how to go through this event:

1. Like in the video. As soon as the countdown starts I immediately try raising altitude rolling the mousewheel up. I found out that if you do it right you can actually start lifting into the air as soon as the count down starts. Now if the red triangles pop up while you are lifting up stop what you're doing and take them out. Once most or all of them are taken out raise yourself up a bit until all the buildings immediately surrounding you are a good bit below you. This will help keep those floaters from spawning in between buildings and keep them more open in the sky.

Targeting is important. Even the first weapon can take them down in one shot. So target and fire and then switch targets and repeat. Be on the lookout for more targets as you are spinning and shooting so that you can spend less time trying to turn and more time killing.

2. This version is a slight alternative, you can destroy the tank near the base you start out to make a quick 10 points using your homing missles. From there you can continue onto the first method and taking out the floaters. If done fast enough you should be able to raise your score by at least 10 points. There could also be a few stationed tanks near the bridges.

3. The third strategy requires a little prep work, sometimes when you have helicopters after you they stay spawned when you start the event those will give you a quick 10 points each. Also sometimes attacking the base will respawn tanks and spawn helicopters as you attack it. This and the second alternative can be very unpredictable and unreliable. One run you might have tanks at the base then the next they are gone and don't show up. The first option is the only one that can consistently be ran every time.

Just forget the targets and go for southern part of the island. Many troops and a few tanks there. Lots of points.

i got 149! fuckin easy, just go to each bridge n equip ur heat seekin rockets, lock on to tanks n fire away! 6 on each bridge! each at 10 points each! 120 easy points!

uhm question: do you always just use your machine gun?

question 2: if you've scored enough for platinum in an event and you unlock platinum medals later on, will you automatically gain it for that event?

You can get platinum by destroying 3 millitary bases, I havnt goten to platinum medals yet, but i just did this event and all i did was destroy 3 millitary bases. With like 11 seconds to spare. You could probably use those last few seconds to get the final 2 or 3 kills you may need. Not that you will, because each base is worth like 26 points. Try it and see for youself. yeah i just got platinum with over a minute left on the timer.. as u start on the bridge near by.. thats 4 tanks .. u get bronze from killing all that, n its an easy platinum medal.

Is there a way to increase the speed of the initial countdown to when the event starts? I have to wait about 10 seconds for the 3-2-1-go countdown to end... It's starting to piss me off...
