Other reviewers take note on this guy.Opening minute of his vid was done RIGHT. 1) He's SHOWING you well known knives of similar size BUT...2) his voice is delivering interesting information NOT directly related to the pictures on screen. He's respecting his viewers by cramming twice the info in the same time frame. I was a pro news & documentary producer for a long time. On purpose or not, this guy has demonstrated some skills .

I must be lucky, mine came razor sharp and butter smooth right out of the box. It is not for heavy duty use, purely a gentlemen's knife but it will do in a pinch.

@FTA4evr -indeed very cool. From what I've read Boker has top notch customer service too.
Really appreciate your knife videos; relaxed but very informative. Nice shout-out to MrDagon007, too. My Exskelibur 2 is one of my favorite pocket knives for city carry, but I removed the clip, as I do with most of my pocket knives. Makes the knife lines cleaner, and pocket knives belong in my pocket, IMO. The Exskelimoor 2 is also begging to be added to my collection; the design of this Boker line and the Elegance series is too sleek to ignore.

@MrTumbleweed51 - thanks for the kind words. I also still enjoy this knife very much.

This design was way too excellent for production to be farmed out to China...... Boker should have stuck with the Taiwan factories for production of the plus series knives... My Boker Los Banos Trance is spot on... The lockup of the framelock, the sharpness of the spine jimping, Torx fastener construction, ect... I absolutely love this Skellern design... Oh how i wish this had been picked up by Kershaw and made in their Oregon plant... It would have cost 75 bucks and sold like Hotcakes...

@rainmechanic interesting points. I agree that the knife afi would've happily paid a bit more for the qc of Oregon KAI.

It is not a trainsmash for the locking spring tip to move a little to the right during 'bedding in' the tip/blade does wear but normally takes years or normal use to wear significantly - Mike Skellern

@mikeskellern - thanks so much for stopping by and giving some input on this topic. It's very nice to hear from the maker himself. Also thanks for giving us this great knife design as well!
