CCSVI is such a newly identified condition, many doctors and MS centres are only learning about it now. Very few ultrasound technologists know how to perform the neck and head scan developed at the University of Ferrara.
That said, in North America, some centres are beginning research. Here are two:
1.The University of Buffalo Jacobs Neurological Institute will be testing over 1,000 MS patients (adults and children) to scan their necks and veins to confirm the prevalence of CCSVI. The email for the study co-ordinators is ctevd@bnac.net
2.Prof. Mark Haacke, the director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Institute for Biomedical Research at Wayne State University in Detroit, is also conducting his own study. He's a physicist who also works at McMaster University in Hamilton, who has invented a novel tool used to analyze MRI scans of the brain called SWI, "susceptibility weighted imaging system." SWI is highly sensitive to the presence of substances such as iron and is considered one of the most sophisticated and advanced system for the diagnosis of MS. Haacke is inviting patients and doctors to send him MRI scans so that he can build on Zamboni's findings.
[UPDATE: Prof. Haacke has been inundated with patient inquiries regarding his study. His website is being modified and he hopes it will be up again next week. He is also awaiting institutional board approvals, allowing him to continue his research. A reminder: Prof. Haacke is a physicist; his interest is confirming Dr. Zamboni's theory. He does not treat patients. Haacke's team can be contacted atinfo.mrimaging@gmail.com]

We're all helping each other. There are doctors in California, Poland and Italy performing the Liberation procedure now. We need more!! We have people organizing efforts on the East Coast of America, in Australia, Poland, the UK and more....come help us spread the word of CCSVI in MS. Learn all you can about Dr. Zamboni's groundbreaking discovery.

5. Look for other MS patients and caregivers in your town, state, province, country. Connect with them and bring the research to doctors and universities together...there is strength in numbers.

Thank you for considering all of this- If I could do this for my husband, I know you can do this for yourself or your loved one.
There is so much we can do together!
My hope and prayer is that we end the suffering of MS....from my family to yours-
Joan/Cheerleader and Jeff

  • @paulagloria Your welcome :)

  • @paulagloria the MSS of Canada on YouTube Have Blocked Me only their opinion Matters on CCSVI

  • WAS THE INDIVIDUAL DISCUSSED IN THE VIDEO TESTED FOR DOPPLER AT A STANDARD CLINIC OR A CLINIC TRAINED TO TEST FOR CCSVI BASED ON ZAMBONI'S PROTOCOL? THIS ISN'T CLEAR

IT IS SAID THAT DOPPLER IS BETTER THAN MRV IF IT IS CARRIED OUT BY A SPECIALLY TRAINED PHYSICIAN.

  • @atraherne why do you want to know?

  • Call the National Multiple Sclerosis Society @ 1-800-344-4867 and tell them to put you on the interested party list and TELL OUR DOCTORS TO START SENDING THEIR PATIENTS FOR AN MRV AND AT LEAST START CHECKING FOR CCSVI! Please pass this along! They are taking names and numbers and stories!

  • @gekiryudojo Because I think it said that nothing was found on the doppler but the MRV was showing blatent stenosis. Usually ultrasound is said to be more accurate, so I have been told.
