Mera Gaon Mera Desh (Hindi: मेरा गाँव मेरा देश) is a 1971 Indian film made by Raj Khosla, starring Dharmendra in the lead role and also Vinod Khanna as the villain.Dharmendra plays a reformed criminal who helps a one armed retired army man protect a village from the dacoits. Asha Parekh played Dharmendra's love interest. As a bandit, Vinod Khanna's role gave him visibility and made him a star.
The film is particularly noted for a rural setting, and it became a super hit, taking second place at the box office for 1971. It is also said to have many elements that inspired one of the box office champs of all time, Sholay(1975).
The climax fights are still remembered for the realism and are very convincing although a single man is fighting a horde of bandits.
Director: Raj Khosla
Writers: G.R. Kamath (screenplay), Akhtar Romani
Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan. A big tourist attraction, the temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai, but is now called Jagdish-ji. It is a major monument in Udaipur. The Jagdish Temple is raised on a tall terrace and was completed in 1651. It attaches a double storeyed Mandapa (hall) to a double - storied, saandhara (that having a covered ambulatory) sanctum. The mandapa has another storey tucked within its pyramidal samavarna (bell - roof) while the hollow clustered spire over the sanctum contains two more, non - functional stories. Lanes taking off from many of the sheharpanah (city wall) converge on the Jagdish Temple. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh Ist in 1651 A.D. It is an example of Indo - Aryan architecture.

The movement was controversial in the 1970s and 1980s, due to its founder's hostility to traditional values, first in India and later in the United States of America, particularly the state of Oregon where the movement had a large intentional community in the early 1980s. In the USSR the movement was banned as being contrary to "positive aspects of Indian culture and to the aims of the youth protest movement in Western countries" that were being subverted by Rajneesh, who was portrayed as a reactionary religious ideologist of the monopolistic bourgeoisie of India, promoting the ideas of the consumer society in a traditional Hindu guise.
Tensions peaked in Oregon when leading members of the Oregon commune were arrested for a number of crimes including a bioterror attack. Citizens of The Dalles, Oregon were subjected to deliberate salmonella food poisoning, undertaken to influence the outcome of a local election. Osho was deported from the United States in 1985 for immigration violations and the movement's headquarters eventually returned to Pune, India.

In 1966 University of Jabalpur officials forced Rajneesh's resignation and he shifted his attention to his role as a spiritual teacher while supporting himself through lectures, meditation camps and private counselling (Darśana or Darshan) for his wealthier followers.Osho, born Chandra Mohan Jain (Hindi: चन्द्र मोहन जैन) (11 December 1931 -- 19 January 1990).
