Kozich shouldve been on the podium in Athens..I just dont understand what is wrong w the Ukranians..they were the most perfect gymns in the world..what is w that?
-
how does 1 little mistake bring a start value down of the routine? i thought the start value was locked in and they deducted the mistakes from the start value?

I've always liked Alina Kozich's gymnastics. She's a bit like Pavlova...beautiful gymnast, bad luck.

I cried when Kozich fell.

I agree, she was underscored. We all know that judges are biased: they wouldn't be so harsh to Khorkina, Patterson or any more famous gymnasts. Khorkina also ran out of her triple turn and still got 9.562, while Patterson never got any deductions for her lack of artistry on floor (and the code allowed a .3 deduction for that). Allana performed a beautiful routine in all senses and deserved more from the judges, but they don't have the same criteria for all the athletes...

The low score was due to that triple turn. As Liz (I think) said, her start value went down.

yeah, i thought it was really great. Lovely dance and great landings.

she on her seat
Yes, she could have won the AA had she landed on her feet...Kozich was such a beautiful classical gymnast with fab floor work..... I love Slater's floor too
