You make one interesting point. The Palestinians did choose Hamas, despite the fact that Hamas is recognized around the world as a terrorist organization. This is a lesson that Americans encouraged by the popular uprisings in the Middle East need to remember.

@esj8341 This is simply untrue, the US has supported Libya, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Egypt among other dictator states in the Middle East for a long time. After the overthrow of the US supported dictator in Iran, they funded terrorist cells to try and bring the old dictatorship back.
After Palestine had a UN regulated fair democratic election and the people elected Hamas, the US withdrew all aid, and supplied the unelected Fatah party with weapons to cause a civil war. This isn't democracy.

The point is that you have a nut job. Of course America has made mistakes. American has also often had to choose the lesser of two evils in order to protect her interests. However, your belief that Americans do not care to advance Democracy overseas simply does not comport with reality.
