Monty Python's "Summarize Proust competition" is funny; this video is cringe-inducing--and misinformed. Others have pointed out some errors; I will point out that Proust's beautiful book is indeed long, but not the longest book ever written.

The yellow Crocs at the end ruined it for me.

what is the piano background's name?

Yes, the G in Guermantes is hard; it was mispronounced here.
-
@konkanimoggi : It should be Untermeyer (and not Wintermeyer)

Charming...a la Véronique Aubouy.
And, I personally loved "the little patch of yellow" shoes.

@Marcelita1913 Thank you so much. Most people missed that.

I'm afraid you sound like rather a pompous plonker. The video was obviously wasted on you.

The background music is Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy who was a Parisian contemporary of Proust. I had originally thought of playing L'Heure exquise by Proust's friend Reynaldo Hahn (available on YouTube) but felt it might prove too distracting to the summary - Clair de Lune, being so well known, captures the mood of the Belle Epoque period without overwhelming.

The yellow crocs symbolize Proust's sly and subversive sense of humor. Not obvious to all - obviously.
