This video shows how I repaired a Sharp LCD TV model number LC135HU.
Only the top half the screen was illuminated. C407 AND C431 often fail on this model and cause the top or the bottom of screen not to light up. They both had the same value of 0.15 MF at 250 volt. I used a 450 volt cap in hope it will last longer. Here is the Digikey part number I used.
P14196-ND
Even though this fixed the problem I also replaced quite a few electrolytic caps that I found to be bad. Here are their values and locations.
C404 2.2 mf C403 220 @ 16 VOLT C402 100 MF @ 16 VOLT C603 @ 100 MF @10 VOLT C505 220 MF @ 10 VOLT
C543 220 MF @ 16 VOLT C541 220 @ 16 VOLT
Special thanks to Mike's TV tips which showed a similar model and symptom which lead me to the fix. http://www.mikestvtips.com/
