I would deffinjitly consider buying one of these but in conparison to the early 1990's Cavalier its not much more economic. There saying its good for 25 city mpg and 37 highway but if you look back to the review in the 92 Cavalier there were sayin that was good for 25 city and 36 highway and that was 17 years before this and the Cavaliers shape was boxy. I didnt catch the sticker price for this Cobalt but you could get a Cavalier for as low as $8900 back then.

Do you realize that Most of these imports are paint by number "Assembly" plants meaning that the parts are made in Japan Korea Germany and only put together here? Many American part suppliers are locked out as you employ Japanese workers not to mention most of the money goes back to Japan Korea Germany how is that going to help the good ol USA?

@uoyuoy444 You do realize many imports ARE built in the US right?

I can't believe 0-60 took 8.5 seconds. The 03 Cavalier did it in 7.9.

Wow... I thought these people knew how to drive. I get a combined city/hwy 44.3 mpg U.S. out of my 08 Cobalt XFE. I do not consider myself a pro driver, but even I know not to drive a car meant for economy like it was a sports car.
Last century? Ya right you can save $10,000 by buying this car. I would say that is more important in this century and you can give an American worker in Ohio a job. I think that trumps buying any import in this century.
