In 1985 composer William Goldstein created the first film, TV score, OceanQuest, recorded on a PC, as reported in the Los Angeles Times May 30th 1985. On August 29th he appeared on Entertainment Tonight! Months later CBS Masterworks (now Sony BMG Masterworks) released the soundtrack as Oceanscape.

  • The video on the little TV at the end of the segment looked like a feed off a VCR that was used to record digital audio.

  • I have this on cassette tape. I used to wear it out back in the late 1980s.
