That's what a lot of people say. Like those people who hated how The Matrix Trilogy ended...or the prequels to Star Wars.

The fact is that The Plan was pretty much explained in the episode "No Exit" when Cavil ranted at Ellen Tigh about how he didn't want to be human, and Anders filling in all the blanks. From that we can figure out pretty much what the deal was.
The movie was good in regard that it filled in those last little details about who saved Ellen and put her on the ship, who left the note for Adama, what the deal was with the Six that accused Baltar and how she disappeared...ect.

The CGI was super bad. Picon looked like something from anime. Nuked cities without COLLAPSED buildings? Cavil with hat on head after airlocking? Basestars jumping in one fu** place? MINISERIES FROM 2003 did 200% better CGI!

The Plan was a joke, there was never a Plan. I expected that they will show the actual reasons ...and preparation/tactics for the attack of The Colonies. Cutting edge social commentary/phylosophy commentary. Six living in Caprica City...and a good CGI. I did get the same stupid "Cavil as super-vilian" and no pre-attack storyline. The Plan was shallow, good but no Miniseries or season 1 and two good. MISSED OPPORTUNITY!
