I go through a clip of "The God Who Wasn't There" (as well as "Zeitgeist") and disprove it point-by-point. For more information, and a written form of this critique, please visit BabylonIsFallen.net ...Thanks!

A few sources used:
The Bible
http://www.bede.org.uk/orpheus.htm
Various encyclopedia sources on Horus and other pagan gods. I recommend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus because all of the significant data is there, however THIS IS NOT MY ONLY SOURCE for data on Horus.

  • I been tellin em too,,, I was just thinking too about how zeitgeist led alot of people away from Jesus(the Black Man), his own self, the alpha & Omega,,, and has made many ear deaf,, allot of dumb and therefore blinded,,, living in a world of illusions of grandeur,,, blue eyed beast of a devil!

  • You the man! That guy does not understand the word grace.

  • great response!!!!!!!! did a great great job of it all...thank you for clearing up these horrid claims of this "God wasnt there documentary"...

  • I am an agnostic and a sceptic, but i enjoyed watching this, and you make a better argument than most. Thanks for posting!

  • How could Paul attest to the physical being of Christ other than by hearsay of the disciples who would've had an agenda to promote Jesus as the Son of God? Paul's/Saul's first experience of Christ is one of the supernatural.

  • @valetudo777 same difference

  • @espyd21c The flood in christian history/mythology (which ever you prefer) was delivered by God because the generations were not pure. That is to say the human race had interbred with fallen angels (nephelim). It was lamented by God but seen as nessecary in order to rid the world of the inherently evil abominations (all but Noah and his family being pure in his generations)created by this interbreeding. I think a better question is why a loving and just god will allow us to burn for eternity.

  • @ZenHG1 hey dude. If you want honest, scientific and historical points of all these things i would reccomend Chris White, Keith truth and zeigeist debunked. Also Walter Veith, mike gouriard and christian answers. I am a casual student of comparative religion, not a christian, and my honest belief after unbiasedly looking at both sides is that these gods represented as analogus to christs in zeigeist is actually very poor scholarship, and secular academic specialists also debunk these claims.
