@dimogeo the way I have heard this story told was the following: Jimi Hendrix was asked by a reporter how it feels to be the greatest guitarist in the world. Jimi responded with "I don't know, ask Phil Keaggy" not saying you're wrong but that's just the way i've heard the story.

The first link is one of the most famous instrumentals of the modern greek music. It's called "To zeimpekiko tis Evdokias" . Try to listen a remix of this song especially after 1'.30''. and feel the passion of our greek music. If you don't know how to dance it doesn't matter. I know it's different music style but i hope you would like this music as well. I post this video to check some strings players around the world. This is greek music

When they asked Hendrix who do u think is the best player in the world, jimmy responds "Ask Manolis Hiotis". Hiotis was one of the best bouzouki players. Although different era and organ its unbelievable how clear were the notes. He added strings and convert bouzouki to electric. If u want, check modern bouzouki players e.g.Karantinis:

Please be patient and try to listen the whole solo performances

@JaimeOctober Really? you think a man plays guitar like this because he experienced poverty and pain? Actually, it's not "natural" to play this brilliantly. It's is incredibly rare, and uncommon. Eddie Hazel was a genius, child. Poverty does not produce this. I wish I knew what did. Shoot, if all it too was suffering, the whole dang world would play like this-- and uh -they don't. Stop romanticizing things you don't know anything about, please. Respect great artists Be humble, not dumb.

I am soooo stoned right now, and just listened to maggot brain for the umteenth time, and now this!!! It is like i am able to see Eddie's soul though the sound of his music. So no matter if his body is no longer here, all you have to do is listen to him play, and there you will find him...
