That's them missing the shift and crunching the gears. Easy to do in a type R, i've done it in mine a few times!

Nah i mean like, when a car changes gears like scoobies and mod'ed cars some make like a gas noise that goes psssst lol then accelerates

That noise is on turbo cars. It's either the waste gate on the turbo or the dump valve
