  • What do those yellow shirts say?

  • @goyherder "Save Our Jobs", worn by the many casino employees bussed in on behalf of Paragon.

  • The very fact that this has to be debated is embarrassing. Gambling is a cancer and needs to be quashed.

  • PS Paragon Gaming supplied its workers with t-shirts and bused them to City Hall - that's what Tom is referring to at the beginning of his speech.

  • Excellent speech, Tom! (Tom is part of the Vancouver Not Vegas coalition.) The comparison with Oslo, the same size as Vancouver, was almost shaming. There are so many reasons to oppose this mega-casino that the comparison with other cities has been somewhat overlooked. Brilliant!

  • After the four minute mark is truly brilliant! Well done Tom!

  • Thank God for people like this- well spoken, thoughtful, eloquent and DIRECT! Hope he makes an impact on many!
