  • I believe this is a bad quality extraction of the 1983 Invisible Records version of The Drama of Exile, which was re-recorded because a sound engineer have stolen the unfinished tapes and sold them to Aura Records who released an album immediately, and therefore the unfinished version is the most known version.

  • Is this from the 1993 verson of Drama of Exile? I have the '81 version on vinyl, but this does seem more complete than that. Either way it's her best original song from the 80's (though her 83 Manchester Free Trade Hall gig of My Heart Is Empty comes close.

  • still trying to understand what recording is it from got it from a bootleg called 'Abschied' there it's titled '60/40 (Drama Final Mix)' so I am guessing it's the re-recorded version that was released on Invisible Record

  • @PJL1973

Where is that version of My Heart Is Empty is available ?

  • where did you find this image? any chance of sending me it? cheers

  • @PJL1973 this is the demo version.

  • @PJL1973 this is the demo version.

  • compare nico with the jefferson airplane that in late 70s and 80s sold out into the heavy metal heavy rock long hair spandex and cowboy boots, and the screaming guitRS and cheezy songs about consumism and girls, then look at nico who choose the contrary, the more dark smaller audience more real dark scene, real deal

  • For all of you wondering, this version of sixty/forty, which is the best in my opinion, can be found on 2 records that I know of: a double Lp of the original 1981 released on Earwax records, Italy which includes both versions of the song, this particular one is listed as an "outtake;" the second record is called "Femme Fatale: The Aura Anthology" which also sites this version of the song as an "outtake". Hope this helps!

  • @taty4ever have you heard Broadcasts rendition of it? I can Email it to you if you like. :)
