Sonic Adventure - Casinopolis - Knuckles - 0:09.84

This video shows Casinopolis completed as Knuckles in world record time, as judged by the game clock. The stage is entered, exited, and re-entered over and over until all three pieces are in their best possible locations, at which point I keep retrying until I get them as fast as possible. Due to space constraints, not all the attempts are shown; only the runs where I successfully get at least one piece are shown.

Damn, that's fast! I'd never do it that way. I'd be too busy gathering small animals.

That's like saying it's the programmer's fault for allowing a player to get a ring without a glitch. It makes no sense. You don't get an "A" rank for finishing that fast anyway, you have to get a lot of rings and get a much higher score. It doesn't completely rate you based on time.

It's definitely possible, but after throwing 896 lives in pursuit of just the first piece (and that's only counting after I've checked for all pieces in the right spots), I stopped for a while, and now my Dreamcast is dead so I can't start up again.

Just for the record, "perfect execution" would mean getting under 7.

@SadisticMystic hey SM, I got an impressive 8:95 on casinopolis with knuckles and video is on my account now! just to prove to you that a low jump DOES get the 1st piece, flying directly towards to the 2nd piece. On the video, everything was perfectly executed, giving me a 4.68 2nd segment. check it out if you want to, sub-9 seconds has been reached in casinopolis.

Insteresting, I somehow got the 1st piece and carried flying to the enemy as I said, with a perfect jump and some awesome coordination with the camera to get to the enemy, some long time ago, 4.76 was the segment. Unfortunately, I ran out of lives, so I couldn't get the 3rd piece.

Yeah, Casinopolis is dumb like that.

@SadisticMystic indeed, but instead of jumping that high after the 1st segment, you could had done a lower jump and then get the 2nd piece.

The enemy is too low to hit on the fly like that, so I have to drop down at some point.

wouldn't it be faster if instead you just carried flying instead of turning a ball on the 2nd piece ?
