John Pilger answers Obama's claim that US military is "finest fighting force in history"

Announcing the Iraq war was ended, Barack Obama told US troops on 14 December 2011, "The United States military is the finest fighting force in the history of the world." What he didn't say is that since 1945 the US military has been directly responsible for the deaths of over 10 million people and that America has in that time overthrown 50 governments, including democracies, and intervened in at least 30 more. John Pilger has something to say about that.

@skaterri There is too much hierarchy to think this is all 'for the good of the people'. The only thing this breeds is bitterness and resentment in other countries its fine now while the powerful get fat and rich its later down the line our families will pay. Since when is america the only country that can do something? The price to pay for that might be costly but the empowered wont give a shit. America is the only country screaming 'TERRORISM'... warmongerers.

Odd how Iran has attacked no one in hundreds of years...and yet ...they are "a danger to the world". It seems to me the US is setting all the World Records for War Crimes committed. Millions of civilians have been "put to eternal sleep" on "accident". Torture, rape, destruction of infrastructure, killing for sport, theft, racism etc etc etc. Yet, "we gotta get Iran". This is like Charles Manson working for the Homicide division of a Police Force.
