Ashton's full-length Sylvia takes Greek myth for its story and Delibes' engaging score for its music. Beautiful classically inspired designs by Robin and Christopher Ironside set the scene. This has been a wonderful addition to The Royal Ballet since its restoration to full glory in 2004. Check Royal Opera House website for casting. www.roh.org.uk/sylvia
gorgeous!

This looks gorgeous, and who doesn't love Darcy, but why is she crying and panicking at 1:08 when the boys are fighting? She's supposed to be a WARRIOR nymph. Why would she be all damsel in distress when she could, and did, beat both of them up earlier in the show?

The main ballerina is ripped! And I absolutely love the costumes and set, at 1:00 they actually look like they are part of a gorgeous oil painting!

that is the most forgettable music in the entire ballet! (and yet, it is the best known) ... the rest of it is really much, much better!
dream cast would be:
Aminta = Fede Bonelli
Sylvia = Michele Wiles
