360 degree panorama of Rubik, Albania from the Church

August 17th, 2009 I arrived in Rubik (Roo-Beek), Albania. This shot was taken from the top of the church, which sits on a ridge over looking the valley. Rubik is the center or the Rubik Bashkia, a municipal area including smaller nearby villages. It is located in the MirDita region of Albania, in the northern area of Albania, which is predominantly Catholic.

At the beginning of the shot you can see the remnants of the Copper Factory which was active during Communism. Somewhere back in those mountains on the close side of the church is a neolithic? Paleolithic? really old drawing on the side of a ledge that may have once been part of a cave. I took a beautiful early morning hike the next day and saw it.
