we too have similar pre-paid cards all over Japan, but unfortunately we can't use credit cards or bank cards for the payment...

To me this is a very important video: it shows that the 'OV-chipkaart' system here in the Netherlands (PT-chipcard in english) has some very significant differences: here you have to leave the chipcard IN the pay-machine if you want to top up your travel money... anyone can push you away and grab your chipcard, as it is not taken in by the machine...

I wish our government (The netherlands) had thought of our poor working version of the oyster called the 'OV-chipkaart' (PT-chipcard)
