Here's what I know for certain: I come home from school one day and my mom says that my school called her saying that an ABC news crew had called the school looking to get in touch with me to interview me for a story on web cams for "Good Morning America."
Here say knowledge (which she might be able to verify, if she remembers) is that Gina Smith did a report of web cams when I was a senior in high school, and she apparently visited mine during one of the short times I had the cam on live where she witnessed my mom coming into my room and yelling something at me, and she thought this was funny or somehow worthwhile. Evidently I was the youngest person she found who had a webcam online, and so she and a production crew flew out to San Antonio to interview me for this story.
Regardless, I enjoyed the interview a great deal, since I got to talk to someone who knew what "a JPEG" was (this was a some kid in Texas in 1999, remember). All in all, I think I made it though the whole ordeal without looking like a complete dipshit, and I was able to give a shout-out to Sifl & Olly on national TV. That was pretty sweet.
A totally different creature, beautiful then and now....
