Stanley Cup Finals Notebook - June 18, 2006: Several hundred Caniacs lined the fence at RDU International Airport to welcome home the Carolina Hurricanes after a disastrous 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals. The loss tied the series at 3-3 with a deciding Game 7 to be played the following night. Despite the loss and the near record heat, fans waited for up to two hours for the team's arrival.

Good job on this one, keep up the good work fellow Caniac... We were at the airport after game 5 in '02, as well as a few times during this last cup run so we feel for ya.
