i cant find the sandbox or from scratch tools anywhere... I'm so frustrated. I can't figure this out

Can you change the radius of the smoove tool?
-
@Josephhoyle you need artisan tools to do that - theresa tutorial on youtube on how to do it
-
@dundi5246 Vectorworks is a really nice program but I still like Sketchup better jj its more user friendly :)
-
You say 'Now I can affect the radius right away', but how did you do it?
-
@Artmgjr go to View > Toolbars > Sandbox. If they still don't show, they may be hiding off the screen somewhere (typically the result of having switched from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor setup). You can fix that by going to your SketchUp Preferences Window > Workspace > Reset Workspace. Other than that, only other thing i can think of is that they might just be hiding behind some other toolbar (sometimes happens on a Mac).

@4sketchupgo2school: hey thanks a lot! I overlooked that. Thank you!
I can't draw any kind of box or rectangle with the from-scratch-tool. how do I set the corners of the box/rectangle? I think I am missing something substantial here.

@vanvalldrey Not sure exactly what's happening on your end, but you may need to adjust the spacing of the grid before drawing with the fron scratch tool. If you are zoomed in, and have the grip spacing set to something like 20'(?) you wouldn't see anything happen until you stretched the from scratch tool out over an area that was at least 20' x 20'. You can edit the grid spacing via the Measurements box immediately after activating the From Scratch tool.

Hi. I use sketchup pro 7. Is there a way of using the smooth tool without effecting the position of the perimeter edges of the grid? thanks.

Ehm.. Is this the trial or the Google Sketchup Pro?

we're using SketchUp Pro - but you should be able to do everything in this vid with the free version.
