Guys, Lionel did sell HO trains for two brief periods; the first was 1957 to 1966. The second was 1974 to 1976. American Flyer did too from 1938 to 1963. Look at HO trains & toy items on Ebay.
Lionel, American Flyer and Lionel MPC era made some HO. Now MTH is making some. Didn't the current Lionel make a couple of HO die cast locomotives a few years ago and then got out ?
Nice video. Great collection of Lionel HO. Next time someone doubts, show them the boxes. BTW, Lionel also made OO (double O) trains in the prewar period. These are metal die cast trains with lots of detail. Hard to find these days.
Well. I hate to disagree with those who say Lionel did not make HO in the 1970`s. I bought a GTW Lionel GP9 IN HO SCALE! It was a very fine running unit, But Lionel could not shake the "O guage" type casting and did not compete too well with Athearn, AHM, Riveroirsky and of course Marklin which was European.
these are postwar ho lionel right thay never has ho in the prewar times

Also, Lionel had HO Railscope in 1989/1990 with 2 Alco A-A units!
