Nile C. Kinnick Red Devil Company at JROTC Far East held in Yokota. This is the Unarmed Regulation Drill Team. Not too shabby for having only two weeks of practice and a noob for a captain. Footage taken on April 2, 2007.

  • I'm in the Army JROTC but my Girlfriend is in the Navy JROTC. at the beginning she didn't face her platoon when she was calling the facing movements. and i don't know if its different in the Navy JROTC.

  • If memory serves me right (I haven't been in NJROTC in a while), we based all of our drill regulations on what the marines did. BUT...I think my instructor once told me that the marines tend to revise their regulations (a lot), so what I did at my Far East competition in 2007 could be totally different from what NJROTC units are doing today. :]

  • She screwed up in the beginning...she didn't wait for him to salute and give her permission to continue before doing Order Arms. But, I really like the way that they stayed in cadence and didn't anticipate the commands much! They also stayed covered REEALLY well! :)

    Great job to your school!

  • Ah, yeah...he didn't salute. He just said, "very well, carry on." :]

    Thanks for the comment!

  • This is Marine R.O.T.C right?

    I'm in Unarmed-AFJ.R.O.T.C.

  • Nope. Kinnick is Navy JROTC. :]

  • that "At, Ease" was totally badass and totally in regulation

  • I remember i was the commander of the first 1st place trophy squad and it was middle school, too. Hooah.

  • @UrFace63 That's why I HATE company drill! Our Colonel NEVER gives us time to practice drill or teach the first years how to drill, and we have to perform a drill for AFI (Army Formal Inspection) in a week, and it is TORTURE for those of us who have been on drill teams, because we know what we're doing, and the first years have no clue! I had to DRAG one of the guys back to his spot one day. It is so frustrating.

  • very sharp! especially open

    ranks and staying covered

but also a very simple drill card...

as for the "present, at ease"

    nice :]

  • Dude seriously that was awesome! Alot Different then we do it though, I was the unarmed squad commander this year, took 3rd place(first time commanding, 1 weeks practice and the first trophy my school took home from that drill meet so not to bad)

I kinda like how the platoon was left to the side during report in. that was awesome!.=)

  • i thought u werent allowed to call cadence in competitions

  • i am currently an NJROTC commander of my drill team and we face our platoons
