First Try: Death Lay

To Lala and brandi - 99% of the pole dancing community would recognise this move as a Death Lay. Fundamentally the trick is correct although, as stated, its not perfect as its a first attempt. I notice that neither of you have posted any pole videos; as such you are, in my opinion, ill-qualified to comment...

Brandi, if she lost weight she would be too thin for her build. Get yourself a BMI chart or something. Geez
Robyn, nice job. Thank you for posting your first attempts so that beginners will be more apt to try new things and not worry about not getting it perfectly right the first time. I think your video is great

"POLE DANCING SHOULD BE AN OLYMPIC SPORT"
You are kidding right? If that happen, they had damn well better reinstitute women's softball. Pole dancing is not sport. It is an exercise or an entertainment; not a competition. That is like saying putting Palates as an Olympic sport or rope climbing.

I'm sorry, I think you must be deluding yourself. YOU are the insult. Who the fuck are you anyway and where is your video of your ever so perfect death-lay? Twat.

@fadyadelnageeb I actually don't agree. Find us on Facebook: "Pole Dancers (and friends) who DON'T want Pole to be in the Olympics"
(I can't post a link, sorry)

I didn't read through all the comments so forgive me if you've already answered this but why is it recommended to take the adjuster cover off for this move? Is it because the material is different? Becuase it's not 100% sturdy?
I've only tried it once on my x-pole but I didn't come close to the cover. Going to be practicing it again soon and it would be nice to avoid any mishaps.

@mediaphobia The adjuster cover on this model of X-Pole is only attached with the press-in beads. You should not use this part of the pole to take any weight. As the death-lay only uses the very top of the pole, you might find that the cover could come undone with all your weight on it.

what kind of pole do you have?

@leaveit2Alisa as mentioned in video information, and in recent comments it's the X-Pole (the screw-together type, not the new X-Pert)
