Hey Jimmy, what KEY does the song that remains the same stay in? By strokes of mystical dust, it seems the song begins in D, hazes into a B minor (blues) lead --returns to the relative Major (D)-- strays to G (both) slips down to G flat briefly (both) --arrives shortly in F major, then transports us back to the essential truth found in D major.,.,. all the while, mysteriously, miraculously, remains the SAME, ---the song remains the same.

It's not fair to even compare Led Zeppelin to contemporary bands, or other bands from their day. The only peers these guys have were a couple of Austrian dudes named Ludwig and Wolfgang.
