Tony Blair, the former British prime minister, has told an inquiry into the Iraq war that he has "no regrets" about removing Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi president, from power, saying pre-war intelligence convinced him it was necessary to stop Saddam from developing weapons of mass destruction.

Al Jazeera debates Blair's defence for going to war in Iraq with Mark Ellis, a lawyer with the International Bar Association, Steven McLaughlin, a former soldier and author, and Haidar Musawi, a commentator on Iraqi affairs.
