Unusual image on an ancient rock, Carnak, France

I live in the U.K. and always enjoy watching the History Channel, in particular anything to do with UFO's and Aliens! On the 1st July I was enjoying Ancient Aliens -- Unexplained Structures, which showed lots of ancient stones all over the world, of all shapes and sizes. Questions are always being asked about these ancient stones, such as who put them there, why they are there and what were they used for? So far no-one has come up with an answer.

Part of the programme centred on Carnak in France where there were lines of stones of all shapes and sizes, two miles long. Theories were put forward that they could have been built by Neanderthal man, but if that was the case how did they manage to build them with the primitive tools they had at that time, and what were they used for?. The general feeling amongst the contributors was that they were used as a form of GPS system for alien navigation. As I was watching the last large stone before the film moved on to another area, an image appeared from the left hand side of the stone and became the full figure of a man, which to me looked Neanderthal. I was quite stunned to see this and immediately stopped the film and rewound it on my Sky Plus (as you can see from the photos). Then I took my digital camera which is a Casio Exilim 4 pixels and took two pictures, one of the rock and one of the figure. After printing them off I studied the image of the man with a magnifying glass which was so clear I could see his fingernails. He seemed to be standing on a stone plinth and was holding something that looked like a ridged gun. His fingers were wrapped round the handle which showed a white diamond shape with a red spot in the centre. There is even something rectangular tucked under his belt, which looks like device with some buttons on it. There are other items around his waist but I cannot make these out. I have written to the History Channel about the programme and the rock image, but have not received a response. I have been told by a photographer friend that he doesn't believe it is a trick of the light. Another suggestion from a member of my family is that there could have been something left on the video tape from a previous film that didn't get erased, but if that was the case then it was a huge coincidence that the image appeared at that particular time on that particular rock and no-where else. My own theory is that Neanderthal man was there at Karnak and that aliens assisted him in 'leaping forward' in technology. He could probably have used the 'gun' as a means of teleportation to other places on the planet or indeed another planet. I would welcome other people's theories on this image, and if anyone gets the opportunity to watch the programme on the History Channel, then they should look at that large Karnak stone very carefully as they too might be able to spot the image.

Thanks for your input. I agree that the contributors of this programme should post their opinions on this image, but they've all managed to stay very quiet. If I had an e-mail address I would write to them all but it's difficult to find e-mail addresses. You'd have thought that the makers of this programme would have replied to my letter by now but so far nothing, and having watched the programme again recently they haven't even bothered to erase it. i saw Unexplained Structures and i saw what you talking about... Now... i believe the image of the cave man was put there in purpose using computing software by the same Ancient Alien director...or image designer ...

Anyway them rocks and many more around the world has being moved with something we still dont know what it was... and hope soon all the true will come up!!! thanks for posting !!!

It's strange though when you look at the picture of the man that he looks quite a normal human being rather than other images portrayed on websites or in books. I firmly believe that this image was not done by the director or image designer as I'm sure that the people contributing to the programme (i.e. the Ufology theorists) would have demanded that the image be removed before being transmitted otherwise they would have looked ridiculous

I saw this programme last night. I'm afraid the image was edited in by the programme whilst talking about the pythagoras theory during the 'stone age'.. I found the actual image they used on davelivingstondotcom/adamcavem­an.htm where there's a picture of 3 stone age people. The third is the guy on the rock... even though the image has been stretched to fit the rock on the programme giving him a bigger appearance... I hope to have cleared your doubts on the matter... best regards.. Greg

Interesting, but I believe it is computer generated. I think someone in production put it there as mischief. The fact that History Channel staff ignored your correspondence seems to corroborate this assumption. Perhaps they want it to go away or maybe they want the image to gain legendary status on the internet. Maybe the whole thing is a social experiment or maybe a mischievous technician was fired over this snafu, lol. Oh wait. You're British. I meant sacked, lol. B^)

Whoever made this program edited the neanderthal man in. I dont see how an image caputured from a tv screen - one that appears and dissapears - is proof of anything

According to ancient lore trolls or giants turned to stone if the sun rose on them.  There is an Old Norse poem in which Odin overcomes one by keeping him talking till the sun comes up.

The 'neanderthal' looks like what our ancestors described as a giant to me, modern humans are said to have descended from them and mixture with the gods (an alien race? ) with the more advanced races of Europe being the final creation. As for the stones, perhaps they are some form of communication point between us and our creators?

The giant appearing in stone with some kind of device is very odd, maybe he is trapped in the rock, put there for some misdeed?
