On top of the gate sits a sign reading: Those who enter shall find eternal peace.

The feeling of fully comprehending a situation that you have entered could not have been more certain.

I push through the large gate, never actually making physical contact. Physics... something that no longer holds constraint over this world.

Once I pass the gate, I am embraced by past relatives. In a vast expanse of peaceful meadows. I realize then that I have awaken...

This place... this is the afterlife.

Before I knew it, those other spirits had disappeared. Followed that ominous light until they too had transcended.

I begin walking toward the end of my tunnel. Not knowing where this path will lead. Only certain that my previous life was no longer present.

Could this be a dream? Perhaps a too vivid dream, or nightmare that I can't seem to awaken from.

The end of the light finally confronts me. I have no sense of fear. Only pure submission...

Before me stands a 300 meter tall gate.

This is two different perspectives.

I blink, and suddenly the world disappears into a white abyss...

All remaining sound drowns out and I am left with a sort of empty void. Empty... is that what I am now?

I turn my gaze upon this new world, if that's what I would call it. I see many others. Like me, standing before a great white light. It's warm. A feeling of transcendence comes upon me. Feelings...

I suppose I no longer have need of such things.

It's a cold winter afternoon.... cold. I suppose that's how I feel at this moment.

Children's laughter comes to an abrupt end on a nearby playground. Prayers being shouted out in the winter chill...

I look to the sky, a wide expanse of blue and grey, opening straight above me. It begins to snow...

This isn't snow however. I believe this is what we could call life. These glowing orbs of whiteness.

I see a bright light, glistening toward the opposite side of an endless tunnel.
