At the end of the video I use Martin Niemollers piece about the gradual exclusion of minorities, and the danger of apathy in the early stages of fascism, when firm, vocal and peaceful action can still stop the rot. I did take the liberty of amending the targets of discrimination to make it more relevant to a modern audience. The original German text, with its English translation, I include below.

A Christian photographer in New Mexico was found guilty last week of breaking state law for refusing to take pictures of a lesbian ceremony.

Elaine Huguenin of Elane Photography was contacted in 2006 by a same-sex couple wanting pictures taken of their "commitment ceremony."

After Huguenin told them she only photographed traditional marriages, the couple filed a complaint for discrimination against their sexual orientation.

Tolerance of intolerance is the route to the end of ALL diversity. Sodmey (sic) between consenting adults does no harm to anyone, while reading Leviticus 18 aloud is an incitement to murder. Be as diverse as you like, but your freedom ends where mine begins. THIS is tolerance. Besides, its christianity hat makes a virtue of the absurdity of turning ones cheek to ones enemy, I'm an atheist. In fact, by not shutting up you are in violation of about half the new testament.

My love and parenting is not threatened by those not like me. There is no reason, religious, or otherwise that I can think of to prevent people from loving and marrying anyone of legal age. If one of my boys is gay, then I will support and love him as always and welcome his other half into our lives and pray they have grandchildren for me. Lots of them. I'm adopted, my boys are, adoption is a norm in my family and we would honor and welcome that part of our family.
