Are we at the whims of the Dungeon Masters? - day 2 - postmortem of the first day of adventure

Day 2 of the Dungeon Party Adventure - postmortem of the first adventure.
This was a time for questions, gorebagg and kruruk as dungeon masters.
With about 30 online players, most of them new to D&D type gaming, sharing 8 characters and some experiences the day before, some post mortem was happening today.
This answers 2 questions about dungeon masters and how they work and how their actions at times need to be seen in the context of the other goals that players have, ie spiritual evolution. After all, this is not simply to play this game, you can do that anywhere anytime.

In my earth job, I deal with people who are transitioning from adolescence into adulthood. Sometimes they go through crappy experiences and they rail at the injustice. Sometimes they even blame God. Without commenting on the question of whether God plays dice, the DMs of various universes really do behave lawfully and impartially (mostly) in ways that sometimes piss off characters. Thanks for the thought-provoking discussion.
